Aeonium Aureum - (Greenovia) - Canary Island Succulent
Aeonium Aureum is an attractive succulent perennial native to many islands in the Canary Island chain. It forms clumps of up to 40 cmdiameter, of many pale green, cup shaped rosettes of simple leaves up to 20 cm in diameter. The leaves flatten out in winter and close up in compact cup shaped balls in the summer months.
Their true growth season is winter to spring, when temperatures are damp and cool 18–24˚C. They may go dormant in summer and do not require any water, except in very dry conditions, but can remain in growth year round with watering and shade.
Use a sandy loam compost.
Minimum temperature down to 0°C, but not recommended under 5°C
